Jog the Virtual Put-in-Bay Island on June 18! (*tentative date)
The Perry’s Victory Triathlon & Family Races is back as a virtual event. Below is some information about the new updated event as well as the event website and details.
The event itself is free for participants to “run” in as many races as they would like but if participants want to receive some awesome race swag, there are 2 options for them.
For $30, a package containing a race shirt (participants choice of size, cut and style), race bib and custom finisher’s medal with neck ribbon will be mailed directly to registrants within a week of registering for the race!
For $20, the package includes the race bib and custom finisher’s medal with neck ribbon.
Both the $30 and $20 INCLUDE shipping. Put-in-Bay overnight lodging is separate and encouraged. The event offers a variety of distances and disciplines:
- 1 Mile
- 5k (3.1mi)
- 10k (6.2mi)
- Half Marathon (13.1mi)
- Marathon (26.2mi)

Swim, Bike and Run Around Put-in-Bay

Swimming, biking, running your way across the island couldn’t be a better way to explore this diverse landscape. The race routes were even designed to lead you through the most scenic routes of this historic island. The main race headquarters will be positioned on the lawn of the Peace Garden at Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial. Take a moment pre or post race to look around this place, as it holds great history about the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812.
If you’re a first-time triathlete or seasoned veteran we guarantee you’ll have a great time at this race. The Perry’s Victory Triathlon has smaller events throughout the day. Racers can register for the Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Duathlon, Kids & Family Fun Run and a 5k Run/Walk. Perrys Victory Triathlon Post-Race Attractions
Put-in-Bay has so much to offer once the race is complete. Celebrate your triathlon success with even more adventure! Perry’s Family Fun Center provides guests of all ages the some of the most fun attractions on the island. Compete against your friends and family and try to make it through the giant maze! Maybe you’d prefer to take it slower to recoup from the race, you can visit the Butterfly House at Perry’s as well. Another way to see the island is to take a tour of Put-in-Bay by train. Join your train conductor as you explore Put-in-Bay on this one hour narrated train ride. There are multiple stops along the way at some of the island’s biggest hotspots. Feel free to hop off and on throughout the day in order to hear the entertaining and educational tour and visit some great spots such as:
- Lake Erie Island Nature and Wildlife Center
- Perry’s Family Fun Center
- Heineman’s Winery
- Crystal Cave
The Tour Train tour is a great option for learning the history of Put-in-Bay island and many of the spots that you will pass during the race!
