What happeded to the North Bass Barge?

Does anyone know what happened to the North Bass barge or whatever you want to call it. It was anchored south of the State Park on the southwest side of the island in about 9 feet of water. It was a good place to tie up your boat and have a picnic. Last summer I went over there and it was gone.....
