October 27, 2021 – Now in 2021 as Put-in-Bay prepares to open, we all know the basics of staying healthy. Our wonderful island establishments are getting ready to open again in a safe and  forward-looking manner. We all know to properly sanitize and provide for social distancing. Put-in-Bay is the same as the rest of the state in that regard and everyone is complying. Check out all the Put-in-Bay Things To Do.

But, even though you don’t hear it much in the media or online, do you know what makes Put-in-Bay different? The island came together like never before and even though that was not widely reported by the press, our hotels, houses, condos, and cabins accommodated many guests as usual. Visit us in 2021 to see how even though things are different, they are all still the same. Check out the best Put-in-Bay Lodging.

And, do you know what else makes Put-in-Bay different? It’s still more fun than anywhere else in Ohio! And, there’s plenty of ways to have that fun besides our famous party and plenty of space to safely have that fun. Where else can you do all of these things so close together: fishing, sailing, riding a golf cart, relaxing in our park, enjoying an antique car parade, listening to music, eating a delicious burger or fish sandwich, bicycling, running, hiking, kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, riding in an airplane or helicopter, exploring our peaceful outer island roads, shopping in our gift shops, taking in our wooded walking trails, breathing in our beautiful nature, soaking in a sunset, sharing a moonrise and just enjoying the jewel of the North Coast of America. Enjoy all our Put-in-Bay Restaurants and Bars.

The island awaits you! Come back and relive your favorite summer moments at the Bay!

Put-in-Bay Ohio is open and welcoming visitors for 2021! That’s right, we are opening back up fully in April but still hosting island tourists every day, now that the ferry is running. The Miller Ferry opened up on March 12 and the Jet Express plans to start their full summer schedule on April 30. Just in time for the big Official Put-in-Bay Spring Fling Party and taking all travelers to and from this beautiful Lake Erie island. Island Bands and Kids’ Laughter will return in just a few months. Pools will be open and refreshing. And local retail shops, restaurants, and attractions are re-opening at a gradual pace as well. Check each of your favorites for hours of availability

For up-to-date info on all things Put-in-Bay, please call the Put-in-Bay reservation center at 216-898-9951 (open midweek 9-6, and Saturday/Sunday 10-4). Or email us at reserve@putinbayreservations.com if you like. We are happy to try and help you with any Put-in-Bay related questions that you may have! If we can’t answer it, we will direct you to whoever can!

Practice Safety

Of course, this isn’t to say that the island you arrive on in 2021 is the same island you left in 2019. Island businesses, workers and residents are extremely alert to the current situation that we are all facing. We are taking extraordinary efforts to ensure that a vacation at the Bay is safe for everyone. If you join us on the island in the coming weeks, and we sure hope that you do, please remember that the island is also home for a lot of people. You will be expected to be responsible and respectful during your visit. We are all in this together and we ask you to be mindful of that. Please read last year’s letter from the Put-in-Bay Path Forward committee located here: Put-in-Bay Path Forward Letter 05/08/2020
