Chris Logsdon is from Columbus and plays at the Reel every year and packs the house. Ray Fogg, I have seen him play for over 20 years. He will play all of your favorite sing alongs plus a few of his originals. Definitely has many jokes and stories that are always funny. Can be sometimes R Rated so if you can not take a joke do not go. But I suggest make sure you see him perform. Hillbilly Casino is a band that I make sure I see every year. I will probably check them out on the Sunday night show.

Downtown Dave’s Thought(s) For The Week
This is an early Downtown Dave post this week because of the Bash at the Bay. It is amazing that this little island in Lake Erie gets national recording acts to play here. As you know it takes me a few hours every week to do this post and with the concert being in the middle of the week I will not have enough time to do the post. So that is why I am early
So now for the thoughts of the week.
It is a universal truth the the day you are born is the day that you start dying. Those who accomplish greatness understand this, and they do not let a day go to waste. They live every day like it is their last day. I can honestly say out of 365 days I probably do this for 350 days. There are some days that I just feel spent and I need a day off. But the next day I am back it. Why because at the end of the day I want to feel like that I have given the last 24 hours the best that I could. I want to live life and not just watch it pass me by. So many people take what they have for granted. They think they are entitled. They think they can do whatever they want even if it negatively effects others. I always try to do my best to have a positive effect on others. I want to make things better for others. I get more satisfaction from my guests when they leave a review online or give me a hug when they leave. But the biggest satisfaction is when they rebook for the next year. I just gave them a positive memory. They want to have that memory again next year. I do not take anybody for granted. It should be your goal every day to do your best. John Wooden said in a book that I read many years ago…Make everyday a your masterpiece. I challenge everybody to wake up in the morning and make this day your masterpiece. You can make this day anything that you want. But it will always be better if you have a positive impact on somebody else. So go out in the world and make a difference in somebody’s life. You will be surprised on how much better you will feel at the end of the day. Now because you feel better about yourself it is time to treat yourself to a few days on Put in Bay. I hope to see all of you yet this 2025 season.
