After the disappointment of losing Luke Bryan’s performance in 2023 to a massive storm, the Bash is going all-in on country once again in 2024, with Jelly Roll and Hardy as headliners for the two nights of Bash On The Bay. Supporting acts are not yet announced, those will come in the next few months. So let’s take a quick look at the two artists we DO know are coming to Bash On The Bay in 2024!

Jelly Roll is a genre-crossing talent who is making a name for himself as a budding star in the country music scene. He began his music career in hip hop, collaborating with Tech N9ne and Lil Wyte. He then spent a little time making some rock music before finding a niche in the country world, appearing on the Grand Ole Opry in 2021, and churning out number one singles “Dead Man Walking” and ” Son Of A Sinner”. These performances led him to rake in awards at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, including Male Video of the Year.

Hardy Closes The Festivities on August 22nd

Despite maybe being a newer name to country music fans, Hardy has been a massive part of the country music world for some time. It just so happens that for a while, it was behind the scenes. Hardy wrote songs for country mega-stars like Florida Georgia Line, Morgan Wallen, and Bash On The Bay Alum Blake Shelton. In fact, he has a Song of the Year nomination as a writer, for Blake Shelton’s hit “God’s Country.”

After scores of writing successes, Hardy grabbed the mic for himself, and has embarked on a solo country career of his own, and is now a rapidly rising performing artist, with hits like “One Beer” and “Give Heaven Some Hell.”

More News To Come On The Bash

Obviously, we now know the biggest pieces of information on the show, so there probably won’t be any more huge updates coming, but keep an eye on this page to learn about supporting acts as we do, and eventually with links to buy tickets! But we do not recommend waiting until you’ve got tickets to get your lodging. The ticket supply far outweighs the lodging supply, so secure your house first!

Bash on the Bay 2019 – Bash on the Bay 3

The 3rd annual Bash on the Bay feature the Detroit native Kid Rock and his “side-kick” Uncle Kracker. Compared to 2018’s Bash on the Bay crowd of 10,000, Kid Rock brought over 15,000 people! The Miller Ferry and Jet Express were at full capacity and ran on extended hours to transport the thousands of people. Kid Rock shut it down with songs like “All Summer Long” and “Cowboy”. Put-in-Bay was going crazy!

In 2019, Kid Rock stepped in as the headlining performer alongside Uncle Kracker and the island went crazy! Both of the Put-in-Bay ferries (The Jet Express and Miller Ferry) were at full capacity and had to run extended hours to accommodate the surge of people headed to and from the Put-in-Bay concert. On the water, boats came in from Catawba, Toledo, Port Clinton, and even Detroit and Cleveland to enjoy the music festival! Meanwhile, all of the Put-in-Bay lodging, home rentals, condos, hotels and resorts on the island were completely sold out.

Bash on the Bay 2020 – Bash on the Bay “Almost 4” was cancelled

The 2019 Bash was big with Kid Rock for one night, but Bash on the Bay 4 was going to be even bigger in 2020! The island began planning their biggest ever music festival. People from all over the US were ready to come visit when they heard that Blake Shelton and Keith Urban were the two headliners. However, Covid put a damper on our plans and we had to delay the concert until 2021. Who will the big headliners be next year?

Bash on the Bay 2021 – Bash on the Bay 4

Bash on the Bay returned after a year off for Covid! This gave the island more time for planning their biggest ever music festival. National promoters are realizing that this event has amazing potential.

Bash on the Bay 2022 – Bash on the Bay 5

Another amazing double bill for the 2022 edition of Bash on the Bay, as Brad Paisley wowed the crowd on Wednesday, and the Zac Brown Band headlined a raucous second night. This amazing island tradition grows every single year!

Bash on the Bay 2023 – Bash on the Bay 6

It sure looked like the 2023 Bash was going to be the biggest of all time, with a double bill of the two most prestigious artists to ever come to the Bay, Pitbull and Luke Bryan. But it was not to be. For a moment sure, as Pitbull was amazing in front of an incredible night one crowd. But night two never happened, thanks to a once in a decade kind of storm hitting South Bass Island, bringing massive flooding and damages that led to the cancellation of Luke Bryan’s big PIB moment.
