South Bass Island State Park is lovely park right on Lake Erie. A small stone beach can be found for swimming in the lake as well as a public boat launch. Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals can also be found in the park. Rent anything from power boats to paddleboards for a Lake Erie outing.

It also includes picnic areas, a shelter house available for rent, and cabins and a campground. The cabins provide an extra bit of comfort and a considerable amount of rustic charm. The cabins in the park are both rustic and cozy. They are available for three-night-minimum stays from Memorial Day until mid-September. They can sleep up to six people and amenities include a living room with a DVD player, and full kitchen with cook stove (no oven), sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots & pans, & utensils.

Saunders Golf Course is right across the street. This nine hole par 3 is challenging and fun. One of the few places golf carts aren’t allowed, play a rousing game of golf before heading to Joe’s.

Perry’s Cave and Family Center is a short walk up Catawba. A sprawling complex unique to Put-in-Bay, Perry’s features a rare limestone cave with an underground lake. Tour the cave then head over for a game of mini golf, gemstone mining, or a tour in the Butterfly. And of course, a drink at Joe’s to end the day just seems perfect, doesn’t it?
