The Week Ahead At The Bay
What a great week! Everywhere I looked I saw Pirates. Some of the costumes were awesome! I even saw lots of kids all dressed up enjoying the festivities. Great music of course, as always. I would suggest you call your favorite place and book your rooms for Pyrate Fest 2024.
On Monday, Ray Fogg and Reece Dailey did an awesome job at a packed house at the Reel Bar playing all of the songs of Pat Dailey. I think they are thinking about doing it again later on this year.
Make sure you read Downtown Dave every week, and as soon as I hear anything I will let you know.
This is the 4th of July long weekend.
Some of the best bands of the season are here. Even if you cannot find a room, call and get on a waiting list, you never know what might open up. This will probably be the best weather week of the season with sunshine and warm weather.
Hopefully I will see you at Put-in-Bay for the 4th. We have an awesome fireworks show!
Downtown Dave’s Thought(s) For The Week
Face it, nobody owes you anything.
What you achieve or fail to achieve in your lifetime, is directly related to what you do, or fail to do.
People do not choose their parents or childhood, but you can choose your own direction and path in life.
Nothing is carved in stone, you can change anything if you want it bad enough.
Excuses are for losers. Those who take responsibility for their actions are the real winners in life.
Winners meet life’s challenges head on, knowing there are no guarantees, and give it all they’ve got.
Never think it is too late or too early to begin to change, time plays no favorites and will pass you by whether you act or not.
Take control of your life. Dare to dream and take the chances.
So every time when I read this I made a plan for the day. If my plan for that day does not work I came up with a new plan for the next day.
Dream big and never settle for average.
