BENSON FORD SHIP HOUSE TOUR - JUNE 14, 2026
We’re extremely excited to tell you about your chance to tour one of the most unique houses in America, right on South Bass Island! Put-in-Bay’s famous Benson Ford Ship House will be open to the public for tours on Sunday, June 14, 2026!
The cost of the tour is $40, and all proceeds will be going to various island promotional and charitable causes.
THE SHIP HOUSE IS ONE OF AMERICA'S MOST UNIQUE HOMES
Fashioned out of the forecastle of a ship owned by Henry Ford, this home is full of history and charm. It’s incredible to walk through and imagine the people cruising along Lake Erie in it over the last century before it was decommissioned and turned into what it is today. Don’t believe us? Be careful, we have two separate event pages for two separate Benson Ford Ship House tours, and they are not interchangeable, you have to buy the correct tickets for the correct date.

There will be no car parking on site, so it advises to take a Put-in-Bay taxi. We recommend the Island Club Taxis (419-285-5466) and Put-in-Bay Condo Taxis (419-285-2227) to take you to and from the event. You do not need to be lodging with the Island Club or Put-in-Bay Condos to use their taxi service!
