The scenic rides are simply breathtaking. The skilled instructor takes off from one of the two runways at the Put-in-Bay Airport and expertly maneuvers the plane along the coastline. Biplane Ride Rates

No reservations required, each ride is a first-come, first served. With weather permitting, each ride is roughly $160 per quarter hour.

Put-in-Bay Airport Details

Open year round from dawn to dusk, the Put-in-Bay Airport allows for small aircraft to easily access the island. The runways are paved and modern but unlit. No departures allowed after dusk.

Light turbulence can be expected on approach when the wind exceeds 10 knots. Every plane must also remain 1000 feet from Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument. This 352 ft column is located 1.5 miles southwest of the field with an elevation of 942 MSL.

There is no fuel service offered at this airport. Please fuel up at either Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport and Griffing Sandusky Airport. The Put-in-Bay Airport also provides charter services, vending machines, and restrooms. All major credit cards are accepted as well.

Events at the Airport

Prefer helicopters to planes? Select from either the White Tour or Blue Tour. The White Tour consists of an amazing journey over South Bass Island and also scenic views of Cedar Point and Port Clinton. The Blue Tour takes passengers over the islands of Lake Erie.

The Put-in-Bay Road Race Reunion consists of two days of road races at the airport., This race provides fun and challenging courses for pros as well as amateurs. Win prices, enjoy refreshments, and music, as well as the company of both racers and spectators.

The Put-in-Bay 3W2 FLY-IN combines car and plane enthusiasts into one day-long event. The popular Put-in-Bay Antique Car Parade also meets up at the airport and everyone enjoys a good old fashioned pig roast to end the day!
