Perry's Cave Gift Shop

Perry’s Cave Gift Shop at Perry’s Family Fun Center sells a range of delightful gifts unique to Put-in-Bay and to this center of fun on the island. Located about a mile from downtown, a trip to Perry’s is always a must on anyone’s itinerary.

Perry’s Cave Gift Shop Details

Open the same hours as Perry’s Cave, every day during the summer season, the Gift Shop sells educational gifts that relate to unique ecology of the island.

Gemstones and geodes exist throughout South Bass Island, notably at Perry’s Cave and the next door Crystal Cave. Purchase a geode from the shop and get it cut onsite to to reveal the beautiful crystals within. Bags of gemstones bought at the shop can be mined at the Gemstone Mining exhibit. Run water over your rough mix to discover the treasures and fossils within.

Take a souvenir home with you to remember your special vacation. They sell a range of Perry’s and Put-in-Bay souvenirs and gifts.

Tickets for the War of 18 Holes Mini Golf, timecards to Fort aMaze’n, and the Rock Wall tickets are found at the shop. Tours to Perry’s Cave leave from the Perry’s Cave Gift Shop as well.

Perry’s Cave and Family Fun Center

Perry’s offers a variety of activities for the whole family under one roof. Purchase tickets to individual attractions or buy package deals to save big. They have everything from cave tour to mini golf. A short trip from downtown, the Put-in-Bay Tour Train makes regularly stops here or take a golf cart or bike down.

Perry’s Cave is the main draw here. This limestone cave is amazing for many reasons. It is the only cave on the island with its roof intact and also contains a very rare underground lake. This lake also played a pivotal role in Put-in-Bay’s history.

Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry is said to have discovered the cave during the War of 1812. His troops were in much need of fresh water, especially since some of them were ill and the water aided in their recovery.

Hotel Victory also made use of the underground lake. This infamous hotel, the largest in America when it was built in 1892, burned to the ground in 1919. The ruins, including the shell of the natatorium, can also be seen at South Bass State Park.

Tour the impressive collection of vintage cars at the Antique Car Museum. This is also the only free attraction at Perry’s. Then satiate your hunger with a tasty treat at DanDee’s.
