Bartender Olympics is coming up! Tuesday, August 11th 2015, join us at the RoundHouse Bar! Sponsored by the Roundhouse Bar, this popular island event is held both on the main strip of Delaware Avenue and inside the red round bar.
This friendly but vigorous competition begins at 7:00 PM with a traditional parade around the park and the lighting of the Olympic torch while the national anthem is recited.
Almost all of the local bars and restaurants perform unique skits and zany theatrics as they compete for prestige and honor.
Events include the parade skit, keg roll, can carry, bartender song, best drink pour, bartender trivia, and the best drink (using the host liquor company’s product, of course!
). MC’d by Ray Fogg and “Duff”, this event always draws a huge crowd to enjoy the fun and silliness.
This is one of the rare midweek events that almost sells out the island’s lodgings, so make sure you book your lodging early!
