Downtown Dave’s Thought(s) For The Week

Greetings from the Beautiful Island of Put in Bay. The spring weather has been fantastic this year.
This week is the start of birding week. Yes Put in Bay is one of the best locations to see many of the migratory birds as they head back north for the summer. This week we have a group staying with us at Ashley’s Island House. They found 83 different species of birds on Monday alone. Let’s look at that stat. I bet if you gather 83 of your friends to your house for a gathering you will find that every person is different in some way. Some more than others But they are all still humans. 83 different birds have 1 thing in common is that they all fly. But they are all different. When you come up to Put in Bay you will run into at least 83 people that you will have some kind of interaction with. What is the common thing about the 83 people? They are all having a great time on Put in Bay. They are making memories that will last a lifetime. This is a small island in the middle of a lake. It is so close to many major cities but as soon as you get on the boat to come over you feel like you are in a different world. It is not just the weekends that are fun here. The weekdays soon will be bustling with people here for just a day or a week just enjoying some time away from their everyday life. Don’t get left out on the fun.

A few thoughts before this week’s entertainment schedule
Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risks
Spend some time alone every day.
Open your arms to change but do not let go of your personal values
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer
In disagreements with loved ones, deal with only the current situation. Do not bring up past issues. The past is over.
Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality
Once a year go someplace you’ve never been before. ( I over did this one last year)
Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other
