Do not over plan but make sure you do plan.
Take emotion out of big decisions.

Sit back and think things through.
Think before you react.
Never quit no matter the odds.
Stress is a choice. Pick it up and let it weigh you down or you can just put it down and relax and deal with it. It is all in your mind.
Just because you are talking does not mean you are communicating.
Complacency kills. Because if we have too much success we get lazy.
Never pass up the opportunity to listen. It is amazing what you might learn if you shut up and listen.
Panic is contagious so stay calm.
Make sure that every day, you kiss your kids goodnight, no matter how mad you might be with them. Your kids grow up way too fast and they are a piece of you.
Do not assume your plans will go the way that you want. Make sure you have back up plans if your plans get sidetracked.
Life is not perfect. You will get many setbacks along the way. How you handle the setbacks is how your life will go. All a setback is, is another fork in the road. Just make sure you think on which road that you want to take.
If you get beat up just get back up and start again. Maybe your plan did not work the way you wanted it. But do not stop because in order to reach the end goal you have to try again. .
Life is all about goals, plans and challenges.

Make new goals every day and every week and every month. Do not lose sight of your goals. And reach for the stars.
You can control most things in your life. Yes things can get you down but you can still control the outcome. If you do not like the outcome then make a new plan.
Staying positive is not easy. In my 66 years on earth I have had lots of setbacks. But I also have had a lot of successes. Stay focused on the positives and forget about the setbacks. You will be much happier if you do.

So come up to Put-in-Bay before the Summer is over and enjoy an island in Ohio. I know you will have a great time!
