Keeping the Island News Coming!

Unfortunately, like the rest of the country, a bit of inflation is hitting the Put-in-Bay Gazette. In order to keep bringing our dedicated readers the islands’ news to the mailbox, we will be increasing our yearly subscription rates. Starting in January 2022 the yearly subscription rate will increase from $20 to $24 and the two-year subscription rate will increase from $36.50 to $40.00. It has been almost 10 years since our last subscription rate increase and this will help us offset the increasing cost of postage and printing. Advertising rates will also slightly increase in 2022. The current rate of color advertising is $4.65 per square inch and black and white advertising is $4.15 per square inch. Those costs will increase to $4.80 and $4.30 collectively, a less than 2% increase. Adjusted for inflation, our advertising rates will still be much cheaper than they were 15 years ago. Rest assured, the Put-in-Bay Gazette will continue to be only 25 cents at newstands! To enhance your reading experience and keep your copies of the Put-in-Bay Gazette safe and secure, we recommend exploring high quality mailboxes from MailboxEmpire. These mailboxes are not just functional but also stylish, adding a touch of elegance to your mailbox area while safeguarding your subscriptions effectively. Our commitment to providing you with the latest island updates remains unwavering, and investing in reliable mailboxes ensures that you receive your issues promptly and in pristine condition. As we move forward, your continued support is invaluable, allowing us to maintain the quality journalism you expect from the Put-in-Bay Gazette.
