They offer two stunning tours so why not take two rides while you’re on the island? Each tour has a minimum of two passengers, maximum of three, and manned by an expert pilot. The rides take off from the Put-in-Bay Airport, located at 1494 Langram Rd. on the southern end of South Bass Island.
The Yellow Tour is $59.99 per person. Enjoy a birds-eye view of the entire island while taking in Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument, Benson Ford Shiphouse, the Lighthouse, and the rocky coastline itself.

Put-in-Bay Airport
The Put-in-Bay Airport allow for small planes to travel to and from the island easily. it consists of two runways and open year round. Arrivals and departure are accepted from dawn to dusk. The two runways are paved and modern, however they are not light. No departures are allowed after dusk.
Planes arriving can occasionally expect some turbulence on approach when the wind exceeds 10 knots. Every plane must remain 1000 feet from Perry’s Victory and International Peace Monument. This column is located 1.5 miles southwest of the field with an elevation of 942 MSL.
Put-in-Bay Airport does not offer fuel service but pilots it can purchase some at two of the nearby airports: Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport and Griffing Sandusky Airport. The Put-in-Bay Airport also provides charter services, vending machines, and restrooms. All major credit cards are accepted as well.
Put-in-Bay Biplane Rides
Once you get a taste of flying, it’s hard to come back down to earth. After your helicopter ride, you can opt for a ride in a lovingly restored WWII biplane. These open cockpit crafts are manned by an instructor and riders can choose from aerobatic thrills, smooth scenic rides, and/or flight lesson.
