Brand new for the 2022 season, huge welcome to the Put-in-Bay sign!
We are so happy to be able to introduce the latest Put-in-Bay landmark, the Put-in-Bay sign. Inspired by similar landmarks in large metropolitan areas, most notably the Cleveland sign, we think something like this has even more appeal at a vacation destination like Put-in-Bay. This sign is a result of the hard work of the Put-in-Bay sign committee. It involved months of planning and fundraising, including last year’s wildly successful Benson Ford Ship House tours. Now, we have a place for people to take pictures commemorating their Put-in-Bay trips for decades to come!
New sign already becoming an iconic Put-in-Bay landmark!
It hasn’t taken long for people to fall in love with the sign. Already within the first couple of weekends, there’s a line to take pictures with the sign, and photos are flooding into putinbay.com on Facebook and via email of visitors that just wanted to share their shots. It’s incredibly validating for those who pushed for the sign and planned it, of which putinbay.com was a small part. We’re so happy that people are taking to it, because it’s not going anywhere anytime soon!
